Daily City's "Artisan Night Market" at Waterford Lakes

Hello friends! I've got something exciting for you today!

Adjectives Market (the amazing vintage marketplace that I sell my Stellar Junk in) was invited by the Daily City to participate in a potentially epic new event called the "Night Market" - it's taking place at Waterford Lakes in Orlando, FL. Adjectives in turn, has asked their handmade/upcycled/crafty artisan vendors to come and bring their goodies to give the folks of East Orlando a sampling of what Adjective's is all about. Participating in this event especially excited me because every time I am looking for something fun and artsy-fartsy to do, I check out the Daily City website (www.dailycity.com) to see what's happening in Orlando, so you KNOW I was all in!

Owner of the Daily City, Mark Baratelli, has organized the amazingness that is the Food Truck Bazaar  and The Mobile Art Show, but this time he said he was inspired by the big city artisan markets, like in Brooklyn and NYC and wanted to bring something like that to Orlando. He organized 11 vendors to bring their "A" game to this trial event in the hopes that it might become a regular thing. There's two shows for sure - one on Sept 26 from 6-9 pm, and the next is October 24. I am thrilled to be coming to both with my truck full of Stellar Junk - so please, come out and help support my habit, so that I might live to junk another day.

Admission is free so you have no excuse not to come.

Read about the other vendors here: Daily City Night Market Blog Post

(Spoiler Alert... there's a marshmallow maker coming (can you say blueberry marshmallows? droooooool) a vegan muffin and donut maker, and the Lollypops & Pistols Fashion Truck - just to name a few.)

Another note - since Adjectives is considered the vendor, you won't find a breakdown of who's coming from the store in that post, you'll only find the main vendors. So I'll tell you now!

Shaggy's Garden Shed

Quirky Bits
Stellar Junk (duh)

Here's a tantalizing taste of what I've been slaving over preparing for the event...but, all you get for now are the henious "before" shots. If you want afters, come to the event! Mmm-k?

Any guesses what I'm going to do with this?

Or this?

I am not a fan of this orange wood. It always reminds me of something that should be to the side of Danny Tanner, as he sits on the couch to give his young daughters DJ, Stephanie and Michelle life lessons. (Full House, anyone?)

Why oh why, am I posting a disgusting old bamboo rug, you ask? Because I took the time to make this piece of crap awesome and you need to come see it.

Needless to say, I wasn't exactly fighting anyone off when I snatched this up this little table at a yard sale. What would you do to this? And don't say burn it.

I love a piece with feminine character like this. I love her even more now that she is painted.

Be there or be square!

  4. You REALLY need to show us the after shots after the show - some of us live across the country and have bosses who wouldn't take kindly to being kissed off for a week to get to the show and back as cheaply as possible! LOL
